Dr. Sampath Satish Kumar

Dr. Sampath Satish Kumar is a Senior ConsultingEndocrinologist, Diabetologist and Bariatric (Obesity) Physician at Ameya Healthcare, HSR Layout, Bengaluru. He is amongst the privileged few to have achieved the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes from Yorkshire and Humber Deanery, UK.

Dr. Kumar completed his basic graduation in medicine from Bangalore Medical College and in 2001 he set his heart on undertaking a speciality training in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Royal College of Physicians, UK. He took advantage of this opportunity to complete his MRCP (Internal Medicine), MRCP (Endocrinology and Diabetes) and CCST (Endocrinology and Diabetes) which helped him expand his skills in the fast-paced and ever-changing world of hospital medicine.

He started and Headed the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Baritric medicine at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bengaluru for the last 6 years.

For a brief period he served as a research officer at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), which carries out research in psychiatry, neuroscience and psychology and simultaneously engages in clinical work in those areas.
